Meet The Founders:
Abi Owens - Founder, Director & Nutritionist
Naturopathy Nutritional Therapist, DipNT (mANP, mGNC)
Abi’s path to wellness began in 2012 when she was diagnosed with Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS). Faced with limited options and understanding within traditional medicine, Abi turned to alternative therapies in search of relief and healing. Over the years, she explored nutrition, acupuncture, homeopathy, herbal medicine, and functional testing, each step bringing her closer to understanding and managing her condition.
Driven by her experience with chronic illness, Abi decided to take control of her health. She dedicated three years to studying at the College of Naturopathic Medicine, qualifying as a Naturopathic Nutritionist. Through functional testing and a holistic approach, Abi uncovered the root causes of her ME/CFS, leading her on a path to recovery. With a deep desire to help others on their wellness journeys, Abi founded The Goodness Guide in 2022, creating a space where personalised nutrition and holistic health are at the forefront.
Arran Rice - Co-founder & Operations Director
Arran has been a digital media pioneer for over 15 years, launching his first online business at just 11 years old. His most notable venture was the world’s largest aviation news website, which achieved an impressive 15 million monthly pageviews. Across his career, the web properties he has created have been viewed over 2 billion times. Through these ventures, Arran developed a profound understanding of digital user psychology, crafting strategies that resonate deeply with audiences and create experiences people love.
In 2021, after selling his aviation media company, Arran embarked on a personal health journey. Confronting an unhealthy relationship with food that had troubled him since his teenage years, he found a newfound passion for nutrition and well-being. This transformation inspired him to leverage his digital expertise in the health and wellness space.
In the summer of 2024, Arran joined forces with Abi as a co-founder of The Goodness Guide. Together, they are expanding the mission of The Goodness Guide, blending personalised nutrition with innovative digital strategies to create a holistic health community that empowers others to thrive.
